Why have an electric vehicle charge point?

Connecting directly to a domestic 13 amp socket can be unsafe, so much so most of Europe has banned it. An Electric Vehicle Charging Point at your home is safe, easy and convenient.

GRANT SCHEMES

There are 2 different grants available via the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, for workplace and home that give you up to £350 of the cost, making them very affordable to install.

CONVENIENCE

What could be easier, plug your car in at night, drive off in the morning. For most it’s more convenient than owning a petrol or diesel car!!!

COST EFFECTIVE

In most cases charging from home is cheaper than using a public charge point in some cases half the price, depending on your tariff a full charge can cost as little as £3.

Up to £350 towards the cost!

OLEV is the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, and they process the government grants, of which there are 2 schemes. The electric vehicle home charge scheme for charge points fitted at your home, in brief you can get up to £350 towards the cost of a charging point. Second is the Workplace charging scheme intended for businesses, again this offers up to £350 towards the cost.
