Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to have a charge point fitted?

It depends on the charge point you choose and what’s involved in the install, this will be determined during the free site survey. On average is between £800 to £1200 less the grant.

Are we a certified installer of EV charge points?

Yes. We are certified to install electric charge points for the home or workplace on behalf of Rolec.

How long does it take to fit?

It depends on several factors that will be determined during the free site survey, most installs though take around 2 hours.

How do I get the grant?

It’s all done online with OLEV, Once we’ve carried out the free site survey, you’ll have all you need to proceed and ECPUK will guide you through every step of the way.

How much is the grant worth?

Up to £500.00 per charging point install.

Do I qualify for the grant?

If your car is registered after October 2016, is Plug in and you have off road parking the likelihood is you will qualify.

Will it affect the look of my home?

No. The charge Point is fairly small and discreet.

Will the Charge Point be compatible with my car?

Yes. We’ll make sure of this when the free site survey is carried out.

I don’t own the car, can I still get the grant?

Yes.If you are the principal user, for example a company car, you can apply for the grant.

We need more than 1 charge point, can we apply for additional grants?

You can apply for up to 2 charge points at home if you have 2 qualifying electric vehicles. With the Work Place Scheme you can apply for up to 20 Charge points across multiple sites.

How long does an average car take to charge?

Depends on the charging point, but anything between 1 & 7 hours.
