The environmental benefits of electric vehicles is pretty clear cut, but less understood are the economic benefits.
With the government’s Work Place Charge Scheme there’s never been a better time for businesses of all sizes to take a look at their car & van fleet.
The grant allows qualifying businesses to receive a contribution of 75% for each charging socket up to a maximum of £500.00. A maximum of 20 points can be installed across multiple sites. In addition the vehicle main user can apply for the Home Charge Scheme allowing them to install a charge point at home.
Benefit In Kind taxes are considerably lower, zero Vehicle excise Duty and much lower running/maintenance costs. Given these economic benefits and the clear environmental benefits, is now the time to introduce Electric Vehicles into your fleet?
